🌟 Peymo Introduces the World’s First Stablecoin Banking App Making Stablecoins Usable in Everyday Life 🌟
Users can hold their money in stablecoins and access the traditional financial system only when needed through QR payments, crypto-funded cards and personal virtual accounts
📣 LONDON, United Kingdom – September 29, 2026 – Peymo today announced the completion of what it describes as the world’s first stablecoin banking app — an integrated financial ecosystem designed around a simple idea: hold your money in stablecoins and use traditional money only when needed.
More than 800 million people globally now own cryptocurrency, yet using digital assets for ordinary financial activity remains fragmented and difficult. Peymo was built to close that gap.

Rather than requiring users to move their money back into a conventional bank account before they can use it, Peymo connects a non-custodial stablecoin wallet directly to the payment methods people already use every day.
With the launch of its Virtual Accounts infrastructure, Peymo has now connected the final major component of that ecosystem. Users can hold value in supported stablecoins and access the traditional financial world in three different ways: QR payments, stablecoin-funded payment cards and personal virtual accounts.
Hold Stablecoins Use Traditional Money When Needed
The concept behind Peymo is deliberately simple. A user can keep funds within a non-custodial stablecoin environment and decide how those funds should enter the traditional economy only at the moment they need to be spent.
For everyday purchases, users can load a Peymo payment card from their stablecoin balance and add the card to Apple Pay or Google Wallet. At participating merchants, users can pay directly from crypto using a QR code, creating a wallet-to-wallet payment without requiring conventional card infrastructure. And when a traditional bank transfer is required, users can use a Virtual Account in their own name, connecting stablecoins directly with established banking rails.
The result is a financial environment in which stablecoins become the primary layer and fiat becomes an interface to the existing financial system.
Pay Your Rent Directly From Stablecoins
The Virtual Account infrastructure significantly expands what can be done from a stablecoin wallet. Eligible users can obtain personal EUR, GBP and USD virtual accounts in their own name, connecting them to payment networks including SEPA, UK Faster Payments, ACH and Fedwire.
Consider something as ordinary as paying rent. A Peymo user holding stablecoins can enter the landlord’s bank details and payment reference in the app and initiate the payment from their stablecoin balance. Peymo’s infrastructure connects the transaction to the appropriate banking rail, allowing the landlord to receive a conventional fiat bank payment.
The same principle can be applied to invoices, utilities, suppliers and other payments where the recipient expects money through the traditional banking system.
The infrastructure also works in reverse. A third party can make a conventional payment to the user’s named Virtual Account. The incoming value can then be converted into supported stablecoins and made available within the user’s Peymo environment.
This creates a two-way bridge:
Stablecoin → Virtual Account → Local banking rail → Fiat recipient
Fiat sender → Local banking rail → Virtual Account → Stablecoin wallet
Three Ways to Move From Stablecoins Into Everyday Life
Peymo has built three complementary payment routes around the same stablecoin environment.
QR payments allow crypto to move directly between users and participating merchants, including physical and online commerce.
Stablecoin-funded payment cards allow users to load a payment card from crypto and spend through existing card infrastructure, including Apple Pay and Google Wallet.
Virtual Accounts connect stablecoins to conventional banking rails, allowing users to receive and make local bank payments through accounts in their own name.
Together, the three routes address different situations without requiring the user to abandon the stablecoin ecosystem. A coffee can be paid by QR. A purchase at a conventional retailer can be made through the card in Apple Pay. Rent or an electricity bill can be paid through banking rails. The underlying value can remain in stablecoins until the moment a traditional payment method is required.
From Consumer App to Global Financial Infrastructure
Peymo has not built these capabilities solely as features of its own consumer application. The platform has been designed from the beginning around a modular, API-based architecture, allowing individual components — or combinations of components — to be integrated into third-party businesses and platforms. This transforms Peymo from an application into an embedded-finance infrastructure layer.
An online merchant, gaming platform, betting operator, lottery, marketplace, creator platform, MLM business or other digital enterprise can integrate selected Peymo capabilities without having to recreate the underlying technology.
Depending on the use case, a partner can integrate functionality including stablecoin wallets, crypto payment acceptance, fiat-to-stablecoin pay-ins, stablecoin-to-fiat payouts, virtual accounts, payment cards, QR payments, merchant checkout and global payout infrastructure. The modules can be combined according to the needs of the individual business.
For a consumer platform, that could mean adding stablecoin wallets and cards. For an international business, it could mean accepting fiat locally and settling into stablecoins. For a gaming or marketplace platform, it could mean receiving funds through one method and paying thousands of users through another. For an e-commerce business, it could mean adding crypto as another checkout option.
The same infrastructure powering the Peymo app can therefore also operate behind another company’s customer experience.
One Integration Multiple Financial Rails
Peymo’s infrastructure is designed to remove one of the biggest obstacles to embedded finance: the need to integrate multiple separate technologies to create a complete payment ecosystem.
Instead of separately building wallet infrastructure, crypto payments, cards, banking connections, settlement systems and payout functionality, businesses can connect to Peymo’s modular infrastructure through APIs and activate the components relevant to their model.
This makes the architecture applicable not only to consumers and merchants, but also to B2B, B2B2C, SaaS, white-label and embedded-finance applications. Peymo’s infrastructure currently supports payment capabilities across more than 120 countries, while its consumer application is available on both iOS and Android.
Making Stablecoins Behave Like Money
The broader objective is not simply to make cryptocurrency easier to buy or trade. It is to make stablecoins usable as money.
“The question we started with was very simple: if hundreds of millions of people already own crypto, why is it still so difficult to actually live with it?” said Tomas Bartos, CEO of Peymo.
“Our answer is that users should not have to constantly move between separate wallets, exchanges, banks and payment applications. They should be able to hold their value in stablecoins and enter the traditional financial system only when they need to.”
“With QR payments, stablecoin-funded cards and Virtual Accounts now connected within one application, you can buy something in a shop, pay online, pay your rent or electricity bill, receive a bank transfer or send money through traditional banking rails — while stablecoins remain the underlying financial layer.”
“And because the architecture is modular and API-based, the same infrastructure can be embedded into other businesses. Peymo is therefore not only a consumer app. It can become the stablecoin payment infrastructure behind other platforms.”
A New Interface Between Stablecoins and Traditional Finance
Stablecoins have increasingly become an infrastructure for storing and transferring digital value. The remaining challenge is connecting that value seamlessly to the financial activities people perform every day.
Peymo’s approach is to make that transition invisible to the user. Hold in stablecoins. Pay by QR when possible. Use a card when necessary. Use banking rails when required. One application connects all three. And through Peymo’s API architecture, the same model can be embedded into businesses and platforms around the world.
