Peymo's Reloadable Visa Card Goes Live as Company Builds Out Crypto Payments Ecosystem

London, United Kingdom, August 2026 — Peymo, an AI-powered hybrid banking platform, today confirmed that its reloadable Visa card is now fully functional across iOS and Android, marking the latest step in the build-out of an ecosystem designed to let users spend cryptocurrency as everyday money.

The Visa card launch follows the earlier rollout of QR-based crypto payments within the Peymo app, and precedes the planned launch of Peymo Virtual Accounts, fiat payment accounts that will let users move funds between crypto and traditional bank rails.

Paying Merchants Directly from the Wallet

Peymo users can already pay participating merchants directly from their crypto wallet using QR-based payments. The company is in discussions with a number of businesses in the online casino, betting and lottery sectors regarding potential integration of Peymo's payment solutions. These sectors have large international customer bases and typically require fast, flexible digital payment options. Peymo says these discussions remain at an early stage and no agreements have yet been finalised.

Reloadable Visa Card

The Peymo Visa card is now integrated into the app and operational on both iOS and Android, allowing crypto held within the Peymo ecosystem to be spent through the global Visa network. The card extends the wallet's function from holding and exchanging digital assets to enabling day-to-day spending.

Virtual Accounts — Coming Soon

Peymo is completing development of Virtual Accounts, fiat payment accounts that will initially support EUR and SEPA transfers. The feature is designed to let users fund the account with crypto and make conventional fiat payments, and separately, to receive incoming EUR payments that are converted into crypto within the Peymo app. The initial SEPA implementation is in development, with a launch date to be confirmed.

Context

Together, these three components — merchant payments, card spending, and fiat virtual accounts — are intended to let users move between crypto and everyday payment infrastructure without requiring merchants or banks to change how they operate. Peymo said its near-term focus is on integrating with businesses that can introduce the platform to larger numbers of users, alongside continuing development of the Virtual Accounts feature.

Quote

"Our goal has always been to connect the crypto wallet directly to the real economy," said Tomas Bartos, CEO of Peymo. "With the Visa card now live and Virtual Accounts in development, users have an increasingly practical set of ways to use crypto for everyday payments."
